Big Star

Big Star Limited brand was founded in 1972 in Switzerland. In the ’70s and ’80s it was gradually strengthening its position in the global market in Europe, especially in Germany and France where it was placed among top fashion brands. In 1990, Big Star appeared in Poland, initially it was operated under the license and as a result of gradual development of sales network and increasing the Polish capital, the company was taken over in 100% by the current shareholders – Bogdan Kaczmarek and Wieslaw Kostera.

Over the decades, Big Star has become one of the most respected clothing companies in the market and the most frequently purchased brand of jeans among Poles [source: RI 2010]. It now has a network of over 200 shops in the country and it is consistently developing its sales network abroad (including Germany, France, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia).
